SUP guidelines: Everything you need to know

The SUP guidelines include a package of measures to reduce the proportion of plastic in litter and in the sea. The first measures started on 3 July 2021. For example, at the time there was a ban on, among other things, plastic plates, straws and stirrers. On this page you will find all new updates and important information.

New guidelines: On-site consumption vs. consumption to-go

Starting from July 2023 and January 2024, new rules will be introduced, distinguishing between on-site consumption and consumption to-go. The measures apply to all food packaging that contains plastic.

Everything about the SUP surcharge and waste management contribution for packaging
